odyssey broome to broome loop

9:00 am you will be picked up from your Broome accommodation and transferred to MV Odyssey. Welcome aboard beginning with a safety briefing, induction along with a light brunch. Begin your cruise northward into the night passing Cape Leveque and across King Sound, perhaps some pelagic fishing along the way.

Today we cruise through the Buccaneer Archipelago over to Croc Creek. Once there a short climb will take us to the top of the falls for a freshwater swim.  A short cruise past Cockatoo and Koolan Islands will take us to Talbot Bay, an exciting ride through the Horizontal Waterfalls and a picturesque cruise will be our afternoon activity followed by drinks on the bow and a spectacular Talbot Bay sunset.

Today we head  over to the spectacular Montgomery Reef and Turtle Gulley. Here you will see the reef rise out of the ocean on a falling tide. There we will board Homer and take a close up look at the reef in Turtle Gully. This afternoon we will take the incoming tide to Doubtful Bay where we will take Homer in Red Cone Creek to Ruby Falls for a hike and  a swim. Relax at anchor for another spectacular Kimberley sunset.

After a scrumptious cooked breakfast we will head off for a spot of fishing from Odyssey's purpose built tenders. After fishing we will try our luck at catching some  Kimberley mud crabs.  A relaxing afternoon on the bow of Odyssey enjoying our catch of the day and our last Kimberley sunset.

Today we board our  sea plane flight from Doubtful bay  flying over the many Islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago back to Broome .

A courtesy vehicle will pick you up from your

Broome accommodation around 1:30pm and

transfer you to MV Ocean Dream for a 3:00pm

departure. Your Kimberley Wilderness journey

will begin with a refreshing drink as we cruise

past Cable Beach, famous for its aquamarine

water, camels and beautiful sunsets. Sit back

and relax as you enjoy your first gourmet dining

experience and meet your fellow passengers.

The vessel will continue to steam north along

the Dampier Peninsula and past Cape Leveque

as you sleep through the night.

Silica Beach is located on Hidden Island and

forms part of the 800 islands of the Buccaneer

Archipelago. Named after the high content of

Silica in the sand, the beach is a lovely place to

swim and stretch your legs. Enjoy an expedition

up Crocodile Creek and a freshwater swim in a

spring fed waterhole. Anchorage overnight in

one of the many beautiful creeks.

The Horizontal Falls are one of the natural

wonders of the Kimberley. Guests have the

option of taking a fast boat ride through the falls

and a scenic flight for an aerial view. We take

a tender vessel excursion up Cyclone Creek to

explore the incredible rock formations created

billions of years ago. Fascinating wildlife to be

observed in water and on land.

The morning is spent exploring Doubtful Bay

and the fascinating spectacle of Montgomery

Reef. Witness as 400 square kilometres of coral

reef appears to rise out of the water on the

falling tide, creating hundreds of cascading

waterfalls as the water rushes off the reef.

The reef attracts an abundance of marine

life including turtles, manta rays, dugongs,

dolphins, crabs and fish. Mouth-watering

canapes and drinks on the bow of Ocean Dream

will top off an incredible day of adventure with a

sunset you will never forget.

Wake up to yet another beautiful Kimberley day

and after a delicious breakfast on board, we

head off to explore the highlights of Camden

Sound. Discover Sheep Island and learn the

history behind the failed white settlement at

Camden Harbour in 1864. Keep an eye out for

shipwrecks, grave sites, and archaeological

findings. Keep a look out for whales! The

protected bays of Camden Sound are the ideal

location for the thousands of humpback whales

who arrive between June and September each

year to breed, calve and nurse their young.

Fishing enthusiasts will delight in the day’s

activities as the hunt for the elusive Barramundi

is on. In the afternoon, the crew will take you on

a tender vessel excursion up the Sale River and

if tides are right, we hike through a rainforest

for a refreshing dip in a freshwater pool. Back

on the vessel, the chef will prepare all freshly

caught fish for a sensational seafood feast.

Enjoy a final delicious breakfast and say your

goodbyes to the crew before you depart Ocean

Dream by tender and step back on land at

Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. Learn the fascinating

history of pearling as you are guided through

their fully operational pearl farm on a one-hour

tour. Take in your final view of the bright orange

sand and stunning blue water in the bays of

the region over a delicious Barramundi lunch

before departing by coach back to your Broome
